It began like an ordinary morning.

On August 19, 2024, a man in Thailand went upstairs to use the bathroom at his home. There was nothing unusual about the toilet when he first entered the room.

In fact, according to his account, he had developed the habit of flushing the toilet before sitting down because snakes had previously been found in another bathroom at the property.

That morning, he followed the same routine.

He flushed the toilet and watched the water flow normally. Seeing nothing unusual, he sat down and began using his phone.

For several moments, everything appeared completely normal.

Then he felt something touch him.

At first, the sensation was not immediately recognizable. He initially thought it might be something small, but the sensation quickly became painful.

When he looked down, he discovered something he could hardly have expected to find inside his toilet.

A python had emerged from the toilet bowl.

And it had bitten him.

The incident was later reported by Khaosod English after the man, identified as Thanat Tangtewanont, described what had happened.
