I had seen them practicing many times before.

Grandma encouraging him.

Grandpa trying again after a trick didn’t work.

To my young mind, it looked like the perfect example of teamwork.

Two people learning something new together.

And having fun while doing it.

Magic That Became a Family Tradition

After that night, Grandpa’s magic tricks became a beloved tradition at every family gathering.

Whenever we got together, someone would inevitably shout:

“Grandpa, show us a trick!”

And there he would be—standing proudly, shuffling a deck of cards while Grandma stood beside him, smiling and cheering him on like his biggest fan.
