When a long black SUV slowly pulled up in front of her house— followed by two more behind it. Men in suits stepped out. Serious. Quiet. Not neighbors. Not police. One of them walked straight to her door and knocked. When she opened it, smiling like nothing had happened— he said something I couldn’t hear. But I saw her expression change. Her smile disappeared.
