Charles convened a secret council—the most clandestine meeting in modern royal history. Attendees included senior investigators, witnesses, and legal experts. Camilla was summoned under the guise of a security discussion.
She entered, confident but wary, her smile fading as she saw Charles’s ashen face and the unfamiliar figures around the table. The lawyer presented the evidence: emails, notebooks, testimonies, and the basement files. Camilla’s former secretary and housekeeper recounted their roles in the scheme.
Camilla’s defense crumbled. Real tears flowed as she pleaded, “I did it for you, Charles. To protect you from loneliness.” But Charles, tears streaming, replied, “For me or for power? You betrayed our marriage, the monarchy. I’ve forgiven too much. It ends now.”
With the council’s unanimous support, Charles stripped Camilla of all privileges. She was relocated to Ray Mill in Wiltshire, placed under constant surveillance, forbidden from public and political life. Her reign as queen consort ended not with dignity, but with disgrace.
IX. The Aftermath
Camilla’s helicopter landed on the vast fields of Ray Mill. Alone, she watched the autumn leaves fall, clutching a wedding photo. Revenge flickered in her heart, but she knew her power was gone.
At Buckingham, Charles held Diana’s portrait, whispering, “I was wrong so long, Diana. Now I am free.” The palace, silent under the winter sun, awaited the next chapter.
