95% of people get this calculation wrong… and you, are you part of the 5%?

And the rule is simple:
 multiplication comes before subtraction.

But that… a lot of people forget.

They calculate:
8 – 4 = 4
4 – 1 = 3
3 × 3 = 9

And they think the answer is  9 .

Others try a different logic…
and find  3 .

But in both cases… that’s wrong.

Now, let’s take the time to do the calculation correctly.

 We begin with multiplication:
1 × 3 = 3

Only then do we continue:
 8 – 4 – 3

And here, we calculate from left to right:
 8 – 4 = 4
 4 – 3 =  1
